Can we change the world from the classroom?
Someone told me once that teachers can make a difference in a student’s life. His words made me realize that we usually underestimate our work in the classroom. We believe that our students do not pay attention to us. But they do. Just think of all those nice pictures that they give us as presents. Or when one of our students tells us that she/he wants to be an English teacher because we’ve inspired her/him to teach the language. They listen to us. I think that every teacher from all over the world works heartily to make this change possible.

Can we change the world from the classroom?
I believe that we can contribute from the
classroom to produce a little but real change in the world.
First we need to revise our work and see if we are
compromised with our profession. Only then can we share what we know with our
students.
Second we need to bear in mind the importance of teaching our
students some values, for instance, solidarity, respect, commitment and
equality so as to collaborate in the formation of better citizens.
